howe gelb (do ótimo'sno angel like you)andou ocupado no deserto. juntou um bando de conspiradores seus onde consta m.ward, henriette sennenvalt, jeremy gara (the arcade fire) e fizeram um folk-country que envoca johnny cash, tamanho grandeza lírica embora apresente uma estrutura instrumental simples, digna de uma pureza esquelética, mas que são suficiente para tornar belo historias deprimentes como o dueto com henriette sennenvalt, em "man on a string" ou no uso do alternador de frequência na fantástica "bottom of the barrel" que brilha como david gilmour em "wish were here" tamanha magnitude e alcance emocional. arizona amp and alternator não tem compromisso comercial. sendo assim, pouco importa se peca pela repetição ou falta dela, mais do que isso, é um disco para quem gosta do folk, do country, da simplicidade aparente, mas que na textura lírica valem mais que mil intrumentos eletrônicos juntos.
